Hey all… it’s a new month, time to post another entry.
The baby room is starting to come together.
Waiting for the crib mattress to be brought home so that I can set that up.
Also, going to Baltimore tomorrow to FINALLY pick up the dresser!
Hehe, I hope we get home early enough that I can start setting that up too.
We framed and hung up some Disney lithograph photos of Finding Nemo and the Lion King.
We also hung a poster from Hawaii of a breaching whale.
Aaron got home early yesterday, so he did some small things around the apartment that we’ve been meaning to do
(install new vent cover in baby room, hang a shelf and some pictures).
We got the car seats installation inspected today.
Now we know that our babies will be safe and how to do it all properly
(the lady said Aaron did a great job, she just thought it would be safer if we used the metal clips that came with them).
We bought a diaper bag.
I started putting stuff in there to use so I’ll be all ready for my first trip out with the twins when they arrive.
We toured the birthing center at Frederick Memorial Hospital last Sunday (5/1).
It was really nice.
Everyone gets their own labor and delivery room and postpartum room.
They have 2 rooms for labor and delivery especially for multiple births.
Jessie graduates from college tomorrow.
I can’t go because Marywood is just too far away from me to travel at this point in the pregnancy.
(I’m even worried about the short hour drive to Baltimore tomorrow).
If I’m going to give birth, I would like it to be with the doctors that have seen me throughout the whole pregnancy.
My coworkers had a baby shower for me last Wednesday (5/4)
We got lots of toys and rattles and some more Baby Einstein CD’s and DVD’s. Cool stuff!
Some body changes that have occurred: swollen feet/ankles.
I got home from class Monday night (5/2) and took a shower.
I looked down at my feet.
They were like 5x bigger than they are supposed to be!
So, I’ve been dealing with that, but it could be worse I guess?
Don’t know but it makes my feet look disgusting, and if I wear sandals that have straps in one spot, my feet swell around it.
The toe area will be skinny and everything behind the strap is fat and swollen.
GROSS!
I have made next Friday (5/13) my official last day of work.
It’s hard to do my job with going to the bathroom 15 times a day, having to try to stay off my feet and worrying about when the babies will actually come.
We have a doctors apt. on Wednesday (5/11) and it will basically be a final developmental checkup before the delivery.
I’m sure we will schedule another appointment for the following week, and we’ll see if we need it or not!
Well, I think that covers everything.
Until next time!
